INDIAN COUNCIL OF AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH
Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) came up with a noble idea of establishing
Krishi Vigyan Kendras in the rural districts of the country in a phased manner for
reducing the gap between technology generation (research output) and its implementation
in the farmers’ field to enhance production and produtivity of crops livestock etc.
This innovative approach enables the farming community to shift from traditional to
improved approach/package bringing our other desirable changes in agriculture scenario.
